Controller: Thorne Bridge Foundry, LLC (LLC, EIN 30-1491515) (brand MiJome)

Address: 131 Continental Dr Suite 305 Newark, DE, 19713 US

Privacy contact: thornebridgefoundry@gmail.com

Main applicable law: Law No. 8968 on the Protection of Individuals regarding the Processing of their Personal Data and its Regulations (Costa Rica). Supervisory authority: PRODHAB.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to the use of personal data when you:

  • visit MiJome and its associated panels;
  • create an account or manage an organization;
  • publish a property or project listing;
  • submit an inquiry form (leads) or write to us for support;
  • or your professional contact details appear in listings published in publicly accessible sources that MiJome adds to its catalog (see section 4).

2. Data we process

  • Identification and contact: name, email, phone or WhatsApp number (if you provide it), country/city.
  • Account and company (developers): company name, tax ID, position, project details.
  • Site use: IP address, device identifiers, pages visited, events, referrers.
  • Preferences and communications: filters, favorites, messages sent/received.
  • Listings: contact details of the advertiser and details of the property or project (location, price, features, images).
  • Contact requests (leads): name, email, phone, message and the project, property or unit type you ask about.
  • Support: what you write to us from /help. That form stores nothing on this site: it forwards your message to our support system at app.mijome.com, where it is kept.
  • Zone alerts: name, email and what you choose in the form (zone, property type, approximate budget) together with the page you send it from. Like support, they are not stored on this site: they reach our support system at app.mijome.com.
  • Email: whether a message from us was delivered, opened, and which links you clicked (see section 11).

3. Purposes

  • Providing the service: operating the site, managing accounts and projects, queuing and delivering leads.
  • Publishing listings: showing in the catalog what you publish and putting you in touch with whoever is interested.
  • Support and communications: answering inquiries, support requests and zone alerts (the MiJome team emails you when something matches what you asked for), and sending operational notices.
  • Analytics and improvement: measuring use and performance to improve the service.
  • Product news (registered accounts): if you have a MiJome account, we email you about new features, launches, improvements and next steps of the service you use. You can unsubscribe at any time from the link in each email or from your profile.
  • Marketing (optional): promotional offers, newsletters/alerts when you give us your consent. Product news is not promotional marketing and does not depend on this consent.
  • Security and compliance: preventing abuse, meeting legal obligations.

4. Data obtained from publicly accessible sources

To build and maintain the catalog, MiJome adds real estate listings published publicly by agencies, agents and developers on their own websites, industry portals and trade directories. Those listings may include professional contact details (business name, email, phone or WhatsApp of the person or company advertising).

We process them for two purposes: showing the listing in the catalog and contacting those professionals with information about the platform. The legal basis is legitimate interest in operating a real estate catalog and in communication between professionals in the sector; we do not use this data for advertising aimed at consumers.

If your data reached MiJome this way, you can object, rectify it or request its deletion at any time by writing to thornebridgefoundry@gmail.com, or unsubscribe from our communications at /optout or the link at the bottom of each email. Unsubscribing is permanent and needs no justification.

5. Publishing listings and public visibility

When you publish a listing, its content (description, location, price, features and images) is shown publicly on the site and may be indexed by search engines and distributed in our feeds and sitemaps.

Your direct contact details are not published next to the listing. The advertising organization's contact channels (WhatsApp, phone and email) are shown hidden and are revealed only to whoever submits that listing's contact form; that submission creates a lead that the advertiser receives. Once revealed, the recipient can save them, and from then on they are beyond our control. Do not include in the listing text or images personal data you do not want to be public.

Even if you unpublish a listing, copies that search engines or other third parties have kept on their own are beyond our control. We may ask for their removal, but we do not guarantee immediate deletion.

6. Legal bases

We process your data on the basis of: consent, contractual or pre-contractual relationship, legitimate interest (e.g. security, proportionate analytics and keeping account holders informed about news of the service they use, with the right to object at any time) and legal obligation, as applicable. Advertising campaign measurement rests only on your marketing consent, which you can withdraw at any time from the cookie Preferences center. Withdrawing deletes the mj_attr cookie on mijome.com and stops new identifiers from being collected, but it does not delete identifiers already stored for an account: those are removed 90 days after capture or when you delete your account; to have them removed sooner, write to thornebridgefoundry@gmail.com.

7. Recipients

  • Developers receiving the lead for the project you asked about. Once the lead is received, each party acts as an independent controller of its own processing.
  • People who submit a contact form, who receive the contact channels of the advertising organization (see section 5).
  • Processors that provide services to us (hosting, analytics, automation, email/CRM, storage), including PostHog (product analytics, error logging and, if you accept, session recording; servers in the US). Main actions are measured anonymously, without cookies or a profile; the persistent identifier, clicks, errors and recording require your permission. Also Meta Platforms as provider of WhatsApp Business when you write to us or we write to you on that channel.
  • PostHog in the support system (app.mijome.com): signed-in use of app.mijome.com is also measured with PostHog, in the same project as this site. We measure page views, which actions are used, and your account and organization identifiers; we do not send client names, emails or phone numbers. If you accepted analytics on mijome.com, we recognize you across both sites through the shared cookie; if you declined, you remain anonymous. Purchases are also recorded from our servers.
  • Other processors we work with: Supabase (database and authentication: accounts, listings, leads, favorites), Vercel (hosting and CDN: server logs, IP, user agent), Resend (transactional and campaign email: name, email and delivery, open and click metrics) and Upstash (rate limiting against abuse: temporarily stores, for between one minute and one hour, your IP and, depending on the form, your email or account identifier).
  • Advertising platforms (Google, Meta and TikTok), only if you accepted the marketing category and arrived from an ad, and only the platform whose ad you clicked. They receive the identifier of that click, the event (registration, business account, trial, subscription or purchase, with amount and currency) and its time, and, if you create an account, your email encrypted with a one-way function (SHA-256) and an equally encrypted account identifier. PostHog processes them on our behalf.
  • Authorities where there is a legal obligation.

8. International transfers

We may process and store data in the US and other countries (for example PostHog, Meta, Google and TikTok). We apply adequate safeguards (technical/organizational measures and agreements with providers) to protect your data when it leaves your country.

9. Retention

We keep data only as long as necessary for each purpose:

  • Leads: during their commercial handling and reasonable follow-up.
  • Accounts/developers: while active and for legal blocking periods.
  • Product news: while you have an active account or until you unsubscribe.
  • Marketing: until you withdraw consent.
  • Ad identifier: the mj_attr cookie lasts up to 90 days; identifiers stored for an account are kept up to 90 days from capture and removed when the account is deleted. What Google, Meta and TikTok keep is governed by their own policies. When you delete your account, your person and their events are deleted from PostHog shortly afterwards, not instantly.
  • Technical logs: for security and audit periods.

10. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies to operate the site, remember preferences, measure use and (if you accept) for marketing. Manage your choice from the banner and the Preferences center. More details in the Cookie Policy (Spanish).

11. Commercial communications and email tracking

We send you two kinds of email: operational notices tied to your account or a request of yours, which do not require consent, and commercial communications, which depend on your consent or on the legitimate interest described in section 4.

In campaigns we record whether the email was delivered, whether it was opened and which links were clicked. We use that measurement to check delivery quality and stop writing to those who do not interact. We do not use it to profile your behavior outside email.

You can unsubscribe at any time from the link at the bottom of each message or from /optout. Unsubscribing is permanent and applies even if you appear again in a public source.

12. Your rights (Law 8968)

You can access, rectify, cancel/delete and object to the processing of your data, and withdraw your consent.

To exercise them, write to thornebridgefoundry@gmail.com stating your request and a way to verify your identity. We will reply within the five (5) business days set by Law No. 8968.

Some of these rights you can exercise directly: edit your profile at /settings and unsubscribe from communications at /optout.

If you believe we did not handle your request, you can file a complaint with PRODHAB.

13. Automated decisions

We do not make automated decisions with legal effects about you. The site ranks and recommends listings based on your filters, searches and favorites, but that ranking does not restrict your access to the service or determine contractual terms.

14. Minors

The service is not directed at people under 18. If you believe a minor gave us data, contact us to have it deleted.

15. Security

We apply reasonable measures to protect your data (encryption in transit, access control, activity logs, backups and agreements with providers).

16. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy and will publish the effective date. Continued use of the site after the update means you accept the changes.
